…Threatens Sanctions Against Drunk Driving

Newly deployed Sector Commander, Cross River State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Corp Commander Elizabeth Fummilayo Akinlade, has warned motorists involved in the habit of driving after being drunk to desist forthwirh from driving or be ready to face sanctions.
The warning followed series of complaints and grumbling in certain quarters by residents of the state who board commercial vehicles to travel from one location to another in this yuletide period.
Findings CompassNG correspondent in Calabar revealed that a good number of commuters have alleged that high percentage of persons on steering usually do that under the influence of alcohol.
A release signed by the Superintendent Route Commander, Sector Public Education Officer, of the Cross River State Command of the FRSC, SRC Mark Ajuka, sighted by CompassNG correspondent Friday in Calabar, stated that the new sector Commander FRSC, Cross River State Command, Akinlade, was deployed from Ekiti State to Cross River State.
In a telephone discussion, the Cross River State Command Public Education Officer described the new sector Commander as an officer with the capacity to execute whatever task that is ahead of her.
He said, “Enlisted in to the service in 1993, she served in several capacities. She has been a sector Commander RS8.2, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State from where she was deployed to Cross River State as the 20th FRSC Sector Commander.”
