…Brainstorms On Electoral Victory

Ahead of the forthcoming general elections, the governor of Kebbi State Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, on Wednesday presided over a meeting of critical stakeholders and top echelons of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to consolidate on its formidability towards ensuring victory at this year’s general elections.

A press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the Kebbi State governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, and made available to CompassNG stated that notable stalwarts of the APC in Kebbi State, including the state deputy governor, Colonel Sama’ila Yombe Dabai, rtd; the state chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Sani Abubakar Lolo; the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, CON; former Minister of Internal Affairs, General Muhammad Magoro; the Director-General, APC Campaign Council, former Governor Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari; APC gubernatorial candidate for Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, and his running mate, Umar Abubakar, the Tafidan Kabi, converged on the Presidential Lodge, Birnin Kebbi, which was filled to the brim, to interact with members of the APC from all the 21 local government areas of the state, to chart the best course of action preparatory to the forthcoming elections.

Also in attendance at the brainstorming session were retired Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Abubakar Gari Mallam, the Shettiman Gwandu; the APC senatorial candidate for Kebbi North, retired Comptroller of Customs, Federal Operations, Dr. Hussaini Suleiman Kangiwa, the ‘Yan Tawaye; members of the House of Representatives, Hon. Muhammad Bello Dallatu, Hon. Dr. Yusuf Sununu, other members of the National and state Assemblies, commissioners, local government chairmen, sole administrators of local council development areas, LCDAs, women leaders and women groups, youths, as well as other stakeholders.

Answering questions from journalists after the meeting, the leader of the party in Kebbi State, two-time senator and now the senatorial candidate for Kebbi Central, Governor Bagudu expressed immense appreciation to all APC members and supporters in the state for their unalloyed loyalty to and love for the party, which enabled it to always clinch victory at elections.

Bagudu specifically thanked the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Malami, SAN, for his physical presence at the stakeholders meeting, which portrayed its importance prelude to the polls.

The governor explained that the presidential flagbearer of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was earlier scheduled to visit Kebbi State this Wednesday, but his visit has now been shifted to a later date, saying that the party hierarchy felt it incumbent to summon the meeting to intimate members of the APC about the development and listen to suggestions and comments from party supporters on strengthening unity and efficacy of the party.

Thanking all stakeholders and members of the APC for upholding the legacy of the party of economic growth, social cohesion, peace and security of the society, Bagudu urged them to remain resolute in ensuring the victory of the party at the coming polls.

Among personalities who addressed the gathering were the state APC chairman, Alhaji Zuru, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Lolo, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ladan, the chairman, Market Traders Association, Alhaji Umar Danguru Gwadangaji, the Sole Administrator Ambursa/Kardi LCDA, Alhaji Dahiru Nayaya, the chairman, Birnin Kebbi Local Government, who also doubles as the state chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Alhaji Aminu Ahmad, the Sarkin Fada, the chairman, Publicity Committee, APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant, Shafi’u Abubakar Zauro, women leaders, the DG APC Campaign Council, former Governor Dakingari, the Minister of Justice, Malami, SAN, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Idris and the leader of the party in the state, Bagudu.
