The Iyaloja-General (market women leader) of Kwara State, Alhaja Sidiqat Akaje, has said that Kwara State votes are for the three major candidates contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, stating that the trio are people of competence and impeccable character.
The woman market leader disclosed that the trio are the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the governor of kWara State and the APC gubernatorial candidate, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; and the APC Kwara Central senatorial candidate, Mallam Salisu Mustapha.
Alhaja Akaje insisted that “the entire population of women in the state are solidly behind the trio.”
Alhaja Akaje made the remark at a rally last week in Ilorin, the state capital, organised by a political organization, Razaq Kolade Olokoba, RKO, Network Groups, to drum support for the three candidates in the 2023 election, adding that their pedigrees and antecedent speak volume for them as competent materials for the various offices they are gunning for.
She averred that the candidates have cut their teeth and paid their dues politically, and are thus qualified to serve their people more.
Setting the ball of the event rolling, the Founder and Convener, Comrade Razaq Kolade Olokoba, informed that the major reason for the massive rally was to endorse and seek supports for three major candidates of the APC in the state as mentioned by the market leader, Alhaja Akaje.
Olokoba said, “The three candidates, by our assessment and integrity test, are eminently qualified for the positions they are aspiring to occupy.”
Recall that a renowned philanthropist cum politician, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, had emerged the Kwara Central senatorial candidate on the platform of the APC for the 2023 general election, just as AbdurRazaq aspires for a second term in office; while Tinubu wants to serve Nigeria as President.
Present at the rally to give the arrowhead, RKO Political Network Groups the needed support were the Kwara Central Volunteers for Saliu Mustapha senatorial ambition and coalition of several other civil society groups were present with solidarity and goodwill messages.
Present at the event, which held at the Hall B of the Kwara State Hotel were: the Director-General, DG, Saliu Mustapha Foundation, Adebayo Ambali; Kwara Central APC chairman, Alhaji Mahmud Turawa; kWara Central APC Woman Leader, Alhaja Tawa Agaka; Ilorin East Local Government APC chairman, Comrade Habeeb Lawal; Asa Local Government APC chairman, Mallam Sheu Yahaya; Ilorin South Local Governmwnt APC chairman, Mallam Jaji; Ilorin West Local Government APC chairman, Mallam Sulyman Tejidini; and Gambari Ward APC chairman, Abdullahi Baba Gobir, who also doubles as chairman of ward chairmen throughout Kwara State.
Also present were: representative of Tricycle Riders Association, Prince Omotosho Shuaib; representative of Okada Riders Association, Abdulganiyu Ladan; artisans’ representative, Abdur-Razaq Saheed; representative of Ojagboro Youth Development Association, Usman Sulaieman; representative of Balogun Gambari Development Association, Wasiu Adebayo; representative of Ilorin Development Progressive Union, IDPU, Mallam Imam Abdulraheem and Babapupa AbdulLateef, who represented the students; as well as Mrs Abiodun, who represented the People Living with Disabilities.
Others were Mallam Nasiru Ubaidu, representative of Hausa community, Gambari branch in Ilorin East Local Government; Ajose Wa Okada Riders’ Association in Ilorin East Local Government, led by Mallam Yusuf Alabi; the Iyaloja General, Alhaja Akaje; while the Igbo community was led by Mazi Emeka Emmanuel and Eze Ndubisi.
