The governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has expressed his confidence in the capability and ability of all All Progressives Congress, APC, candidates, from top to bottom to emerge victorious at this year’s polls, in view of the massive support displayed consistently for the aspirations of all candidates by party members.

In a statement, the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, quoted the governor as stating this while addressing
thousands of APC members at a campaign rally in Gwandu, the headquarters of Gwandu Local Government Area if the state in the course of the state-wide campaign in preparation for the 2023 general elections.

Senator Bagudu also conveyed the message of President Muhammadu Buhari to the gathering, urging all those who voted for him in 2015 to clinch the Presidency to repeat the same feat for the APC presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as all APC contestants.

The governor further affirmed the commitment of his administration to sustain the provision of socio-economic empowerment to women and youth, assuring that the remaining portion of the township road project in Gwandu would be completed.

He solicited for the support of the people for landslide victory for APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, and other APC candidates, by turning out en masse to cast their votes for the APC.

Senator Bagudu, who is vying for to represent Kebbi Central senatorial district on the APC platform, urged the party’s supporters to equally vote for the APC candidate for Jega/Gwandu/Aliero federal constituency, Mohammadu Umar Jega, the candidate for whose candidature was affirmed by the Supreme Court, as well as Hon. Atiku Bello Kurya, who is contesting for the Gwandu state constituency in the Kebbi State House of Assembly.

Other speakers at the campaign rally included: the Director-General, DG, of APC Campaign Council, former Governor Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, the state chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, the chairman, Kebbi APC Elders’ Forum, Alhaji Sani Hukuma Zauro, the Zannan Gwandu, the APC chairman in Gwandu Local Goverment, Alhaji Mamuda Gwandu, Alhaji Atiku Culture and the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Idris.

Dr Idris thanked the people of Gwandu for their love for the APC, calling on them to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming polls.

Earlier, before his arrival at the campaign venue, Governor Bagudu had led the campaign team to pay homage to the Sarkin Gabas, the District Head of Gwandu, who was represented by the Magaji Gari, Alhaji Attahiru.

Senator Bagudu called for prayers and support for all APC candidates and formally introduced the party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Idris to the traditional ruler.

On the entourage were former governor of the state and DG, APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Dakingari, the Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bello Dallatu, the member of the House of Representatives, the state chairman of the APC, Alhaji Zuru, the chairman, APC Elders’ Forum, Alhaji Hukuma, former Comptroller of Correctional Services, Jafar Jega, former Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Umar Umar Ambursa rtd., APC chairman in Gwandu Local Government Area, Alhaji Gwandu, the Director Welfare, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim A.I Suru, and top government officials.

Responding, the representative of the District Head, Alhaji Attahiru, affirmed loyalty to the government and gave an assurance that the people of the area would vote massively for the APC to secure victory for the ruling party at the polls.

Speaking during the courtesy visit, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Idris, and the state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Rt. Hon. Hassan Muhammad Shalla, thanked the people of Gwandu for their support for the Bagudu administration, urging them to sustain the tempo.

Before the Gwandu rally, the APC campaign team had visited Kambaza and Dalijan to solicit for votes for the party in the forthcoming polls.
